The man behind the voice of Mukesh

The soul of an artist, captured in a bottle along with an excellent voice, composition skills,  melodies, sur, taal and an impeccable sense of music; all these and so much more can be used to describe the World famous Babla Mehta.

Born to a family with no claims to any musical heritage, Babla Mehta embarked on his journey to be one of the most well known Voice of Mukesh. Born to a humble family, with no musical background, Babla Mehta has made a name for himself, not only in India but all through the globe. Every moment he spends on the stage, he attracts and cherishes the hearts of a million people with his beautiful songs. A man of pure musical talents and beautiful composition, Babla Mehta is the voice of Mukesh.

Taking under his father, Babla Mehta went through life with an aspiration to become a banker. But the teething passion to be a singer could never be tamed. Even though Babla Mehta’s soul desire to sing never sparked until school, he first got a job as a banker and performed on small stage shows, until on one such show, he was spotted by the musical legend Gulshan kumar who immediately realized the immeasurable potential in Babla Mehta. Since that day, it has only been an uphill climb for the most iconic Voice of Mukesh.

As Babla Mehta embarked on his musical journey for excellence, people soon started realizing the striking similarity of his voice to the Veteran Singer Mukesh Mathur. Later he was branded as the Voice of Mukesh. Babla Mehta took great pride in this front, as he performed worldwide paying a handsome tribute to Mukeshmia with Mukesh ki Yadeein Volume 1-10 and much more.

            
Babla Mehta has also gone to create a genres of his own in Bhajans.  Babla has carved a niche for himself in Bhajans too. He has sung many soulful bhajans. His solo albums ‘Jai Shree Hanuman’, ‘Sankat Mochan’ are ‘must have’ for Hanuman devotees. His ‘Ram Charit Manas’ has endeared him to devotees of Lord Ram. He is the only singer to have rendered complete ‘Sunder Kaand’.
